Mods are easy to use once they install in the game. However, not everyone is a wiz at computers. Here is how to install mods onto your game.
Step 1: The first thing you need to do is go into your documents under Electronic Arts and click on The Sims 4 file. Right click copy and create an empty folder on your desktop. Past the copy of your entire game into that document and label it whatever you want so you know what is in that file. This is an important step because if you install a mod that has a virus or something that corrupts your game, you have a backup so you do not lose your game entirely and have to reinstall it which can take hours depending on the computer. Step 2: The next step is to go to or some other zip-folder application to download the mods.
Install it onto your computer and you are done with this step If you know you are a 64-bit click on that, but if not stick with the 32-bit system to be safe. Find whatever website you wish that carries the mod you want such as Tumblr, Mod the Sims, and other websites that Simmers share files with. As with all downloads, there is the possibility for viruses, so you need to make sure you have a good virus protection.
Step 4: After you download the content you want, go to the download file to see the files there. Go back to your documents and open the Electronic Arts folder. Under Sims 4, find the folder that says “mods” and open it.
